Ricardo Vaz Te has completed a move to Hibernian on a deal until the end of the season, manager Colin Calderwood has confirmed.

The former Bolton forward becomes Calderwood's seventh signing as boss. Vaz Te was a free agent after he was released from his deal with Greek side Panionios and impressed on trial at Easter Road.

The Hibs boss said: "Everything's completed now so we're delighted to announce he's confirmed as a Hibernian player."

He added: "He's missed a bit of football so there's a bit of fitness he's got to regain, but we'll stick him in the squad for Tuesday night.

"The reason to bring him in is to try and see what he can do - we'll try and push that as soon as possible.

"It's an opportunity for him and ourselves to assess one another and see if we can have a fruitful end to the season.

"He's got good pace, good technical ability and has shown good shooting prowess in training."

The 24-year-old former Portugal Under-21 international will be included in Hibs' squad for the Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash at Hamilton.
