Hibernian captain Kevin Thomson has admitted that he is sad to see manager Tony Mowbray leave the club to head to England to take charge of West Bromwich Albion.
Mowbray had been in charge at Easter Road for just two years and had helped a number of the current squad progress from the youth ranks, with Thomson thankful for his support.
He said: "I know the players had a lot of respect for the manager and we wish him all the best for the future.
"He told us that he was leaving the club and he was not going to be taking the training yesterday or ever again.
"He said his goodbyes and that was the end of it. A lot of the boys will put their hand on their heart and say he has improved them."
