Hibernian have accepted a £2million bid for unsettled midfielder Kevin Thomson from an unnamed club, believed to be Rangers.
The 22-year-old had been widely tipped to leave Easter Road during the transfer window after being involved in a contract dispute with the Edinburgh club.
Reading, Middlesbrough and Sheffield United were all believed to be on the trail of Thomson, while Charlton Athletic had a combined £3million bid for the midfielder and team-mate Scott Brown rejected earlier in the month.
"I've been fully involved in the discussions and I'm happy that our valuation has been matched for the player," Hibs boss John Collins told the club's official website.
"I'm confident that we have a squad that is well capable of competing in the important games that lie ahead and that we can continue the good run of form until the end of the season."
