Szamotulski to join Hibs

Hibernian have agreed a deal with Grzegorz Szamotulski to sign the former Dundee United and Preston North End goalkeeper.

Szamotulski, 32, will join the Edinburgh club on a free transfer once they secure international clearance.

The Polish keeper has been without a club since leaving Israeli side FC Ashdod at the beginning of December.

Szamotulski will now challenge Yves Makaba-Makalamby for the number one jersey at Easter Road.

"I'm pleased to have reached agreement with Hibernian and am now looking forward to playing again in the SPL," he told the club's official website.

"I enjoyed my last spell in this league and I'm delighted to be joining one of the leading sides in Scotland."
