Surgery for Hibs' Murray

Hibernian will be without Ian Murray for the next month, starting with Saturday's trip to Kilmarnock.

Murray, who is joined on the sidelines by Ross Chisholm, has undergone surgery to solve a long-term groin problem following a meeting with a specialist on Thursday.

"Ian had a bit of scar tissue from a previous hernia operation and had an operation to cure it," manager Mixu Paatelainen explained to the Edinburgh Evening News.

"We are now looking at three to four weeks out which is a setback both for Ian and the team as he'd been doing fantastically well for us this season.

"Unfortunately injuries are part of the game but we've now identified what was troubling him and he'll now be looking to get back as soon as he can."
