Hibernian boss John Collins has hailed the impact of substitutes Ivan Sproule and Guillaume Beuzelin in the 2-0 win at Kilmarnock.

The duo were introduced into the Rugby Park clash at half-time and quickly combined for Sproule to break the deadlock, before Steven Fletcher added a late clincher.

Collins said afterwards: "Of course, it was always planned to bring those two on at the break.

"We've got three games in six days, so we've got to manage the squad and make sure that we keep everybody fresh.

"It worked well. Ivan came on and gave us impetus, penetration and pace and made the difference. Guillaume came on and passed the ball.

"It was the first time Ivan had been on the bench. He's been starting matches ever so well. But he puts so much into games, so it's important that we save his legs."
