SPL wait for report from Fir Park

Hibernian midfielder Zemmama angered the Motherwell supporters by celebrating in front of Fir Park's East Stand after scoring from a 55th-minute free-kick in his side's 3-1 Scottish Premier League victory on Saturday. The Moroccan later appeared to take evasive action as he went to take a corner in front of the same stand and referee Steve Conroy picked something off the grass and put it in his pocket. Zemmama described the object as a "lighter or whistle" after the game. The SPL have the power to punish Motherwell over the alleged incident and a spokesman said: "We will wait to see, first and foremost, what our match delegate says about any situation relating to the crowd. "If there was any major incidents, they would report that. "They are effectively our eyes and ears at the ground." The match delegate's report was expected to be received on Tuesday or Wednesday. The SPL spokesman added: "If there are any incidents of note which merit further explanation, we'll write to the clubs involved and ask them for some further details."
