Scott wants Celtic scalp

Hibernian midfielder Martin Scott helped stun Celtic with Ross County in the Scottish Cup semi-final a year ago and is now out to hurt their Clydesdale Bank Premier League title ambitions.

The 25-year-old was famously part of the Dingwall side who reached the cup final for the first time in their 81-year history after a shock 2-0 win over Neil Lennon's team last April. The entire cup journey was a career highlight for Scott, who followed Hibs assistant Adams to Easter Road in January, but he is also relishing a first trip to Celtic Park in over five years on Wednesday night.

He said: "I had just signed a new contract at Ross County, then we went on the so-called fairytale run to Hampden. It was unbelievable for a First Division club to do that. We know what Celtic are capable of. It'll be a tough ask but we've got to go there and enjoy the occasion and try and impose our own game plan."

Hibs are unbeaten in seven matches but, after losing a late goal to Hearts in Sunday's derby, must win their last three games before the SPL splits to have any hope of a top-six finish.

Celtic, meanwhile, are fighting it out with Rangers for the league crown and Scott hopes to again prove a thorn in their side.

He added: "I last played a Boxing Day match at Celtic with Livingston, when we lost 2-1 (in 2005).

"We've been debriefed on Celtic and everyone knows the players there very well."
