O'Brien, who has a handful of international caps for the Republic of Ireland, signed for Hibernian from Newcastle back in 2007 but after struggling to make a real impact saw his contract with the Scottish Premier League club cancelled recently. Wilson is now looking to attract him to the County Ground and will hold talks with the 24-year-old this weekend. He said: "We are due to speak to him on Sunday when he comes here and hopefully we can get something sorted. "He hasn't signed yet but he is a player we would like to have on board because he has a lot of attributes. "He is someone we have been tracking for a while. He has outstanding pace and if he did agree to join us then he would be a player to excite the fans."
