Riordan delight at Hibs form

Striker Derek Riordan believes he is profiting from being back where he belongs after the impressive start to his second spell with Hibernian.

The Scotland forward has netted three times in four games since returning to Easter Road after an unhappy two-season spell at Celtic.

Riordan scored both goals in last weekend's 2-1 victory over Aberdeen and afterwards revealed his delight at his return to Edinburgh.

"I always kiss the Hibs badge. I'm a fan so I wouldn't kiss any other," he told the club's official website.

"It shows I feel this is where I belong and the move back is working out well.

"It is brilliant to get back playing, scoring and winning again."

Meanwhile, Riordan is relishing taking on city rivals Hearts in the Edinburgh derby on October 19.

"We look forward to the big games and obviously the derby is the biggest one for us in the season, so I can't wait for that one," he continued.

"With a few Hibernian supporters in our side there is no doubt we will be up for this one, but we are always up for every game."
