Inverness Caledonian Thistle have rejected a second bid from Falkirk for midfielder John Rankin.
Falkirk had upped their bid for 24-year old Rankin, after they had a £45,000 bid rejected on Thursday.
However, director of football Graeme Bennett has stated he will not be allowed to go on the cheap.
He told the Press and Journal: "It's no secret what we paid for him and we need our money back or more before I can take it to the board."
The former Ross County star has featured regularly in the first team for Caley this season, and is still in player-manager Craig Brewster's plans.
"We're still happy to keep John Rankin at the club," Bennett added.
Meanwhile, on-loan Phil Maguire has signed a permanent deal with Caley having left Aberdeen. He has penned a two-and-a-year deal.
