Pre-Season Result - Preston Athletic 1-4 Hibs U19
Young Hibees win again Hibs U19 side put in another superb performance last night, as they faced Junior side Preston Athletic, at Pennypit Park, Prestonpans. Following on from impressive victory’s over both Liverpool and Newcastle United U18 sides, the young Hibees dispatched with Preston with ease. David Gold gave the Hibees the lead after only 7 minutes. Ross Caldwell then made it 2-0, only for Preston to run straight up the park and make it 2-1. Danny Handling then made it 3-1 just before half time. Hibs played some superb stuff, knocking the ball about with ease, and could easily already have had the game beyond sight. HT: Preston Athletic 1-3 Hibs U19’s The young Hibees dominated the second half as well, and with boss John Hughes a interested spectator, he would have been impressed. None more so than Crawford, who made it 4-1 with just 20 minutes left on the clock. Former Hibs boss John Collins was also in the crowd.
