Paatelainen wary of Hearts attack

The Tynecastle men are renowned for their defence, which boasts the best record in the SPL outside the Old Firm.[LNB]However, they have conceded over a goal a game this season and have managed only one clean sheet in their last seven outings, making Paatelainen confident his side can create chances against the Gorgie men.[LNB]And, although they are likely to come up against only one striker in the fourth Edinburgh derby of the season, he has urged his own defence not to underestimate the attacking prowess they will face from the likes of Andrew Driver and David Obua in midfield.[LNB]He said: "They are very difficult to break down but, on the other hand, they have conceded one goal in almost every match, so it's not impossible to break them down.[LNB]"They are also good attacking-wise; they have fantastic individual players going forward.[LNB]"They have plenty pace, power and height, everything needed to create chances and put the ball in the net.[LNB]"That's why they've done so well recently and we will certainly need to defend well if we want to keep a clean sheet."[LNB]A veteran of many derbies as a player with Dundee United, Aberdeen, Wolves and Hibs, Paatelainen is aware of the importance of the rivalries that exist throughout football.[LNB]However, whilst he knows what his first victory as manager would mean to everyone associated with the club, the Finn is refusing to lose sight of the bigger picture ahead of the game.[LNB]The Easter Road side are currently in sixth spot but know they require an upturn in fortunes if they are to seal a top-half finish at the split.[LNB]He added: "It's a league match first and foremost but it's also a derby match and it means everything to so many people.[LNB]"It is also important in terms of us trying to qualify for the top six. For many reasons, it is very important.[LNB]"At the end of the day, it is another league match and three points would be nice.[LNB]"But it will be very difficult because Hearts are a good team, who have done tremendously well recently and are riding high comfortably in third spot."[LNB][LNB]
