Scotland striker Garry O'Connor has completed his move from Hibernian to Lokomotiv Moscow by putting pen to paper on a lucrative five-year contract with the Russian club.
O'Connor has now linked up with his new team-mates for a training camp in Spain ahead of the start of the Russian season on March 18.
Hibernian reluctantly accepted a £1.6million offer for the 22-year-old last week after deciding the money on offer was too good to turn down, despite the forward being a key player in the club's challenge for a European place.
Manager Tony Mowbray explained to the Evening News: "Using some of the money from Garry's move is something that I have discussed with the board.
"Come the next transfer window there will be money available, although I'm not anticipating hundreds of thousands of pounds.
"But it will help us with recruitment of new players and the development of the club for the future.
"The last couple of years most of our transfer window signings have been on Bosmans but this time round we are hoping that, if we can identify the right people, we will have the funds to improve the team by bringing in a more finished, more complete player, than we have in the past."
O'Connor began his career as a trainee at Easter Road and went on to score 46 times in 138 SPL outings for Hibs.
