Hibs' Garry O'Connor wants the club to secure the long-term future of strike partner Derek Riordan to fend off interest in the rising star.
Riordan has netted 22 goals for the Easter Road club this season, while O'Connor has bagged 19 to form a deadly partnership with the SFWA Young Player of the Year.
O'Connor said: "Keeping Derek speaks for itself, it would be so disappointing if he left the club.
"With the goals he has scored people are obviously going to be interested but, if they are going to give him a new contract, it's the men upstairs that have got to cough up the money and give him it.
"Hopefully they can because he deserves what he gets."
