O'Connor facing drug charges
Scotland striker Garry O'Connor is facing drug offence charges after allegedly being caught with cocaine.[LNB] The 28-year-old footballer was detained by police after an alleged incident in Edinburgh in May and was released pending further examination.[LNB]But today police confirmed he had been charged with drug offences and that a report had been sent to the procurator fiscal.[LNB]Earlier this month, O'Connor signed a one-year deal with Hibernian, where he started his career.[LNB]A spokesman for the club said they did not wish to comment on the case.[LNB]O'Connor is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.[LNB]
