No future worries for Benjelloun

The 25-year-old's current deal expires in less than four months' time and there have been no formal moves from Hibs to extend the popular forward's stay at Easter Road.[LNB]But he said: "I never worry, never worry in football.[LNB]"Because if you play football, you get a chance to play anywhere.[LNB]"But, like I've said before, I want always to be here because I like the club, I like the fans, I like my colleagues."[LNB]The Morocco international is free to sign a pre-contract with another club but claims he is unaware of his agent receiving any offers, adding: "If I have something, sure I will tell you."[LNB]Benjelloun's days at Hibs looked numbered before John Hughes became manager last summer, with former boss Mixu Paatelainen trying to offload him without success.[LNB]But under Hughes, the forward has played a significant part in the club's push for third place in the Scottish Premier League.[LNB]An early substitute, he could have been the matchwinner against Kilmarnock on Saturday but he missed a second-half penalty before Derek Riordan spared his blushes with a trademark free-kick to seal a 1-0 win.[LNB]"That's Derek's speciality," said Benjelloun.[LNB]"He knows what he's going to do and he took a free-kick into the top corner and gave us three points.[LNB]"Only Derek can score that goal."[LNB]Benjelloun blamed everything from the referee not allowing him to catch his breath, to the "horrendous" Easter Road pitch, to fellow Moroccan Mehdi Taouil telling Killie team-mate Lee Robinson which way to dive for his penalty miss.[LNB]"Maybe if it was 0-0, I'd be more disappointed," said Benjelloun, who was relieved Hibs' five-match winless run was finally at an end.[LNB]Their worst sequence of results under Hughes saw them surrender third place to Dundee United, a position they reclaimed yesterday ahead of the Tangerines' game against Hearts this afternoon.[LNB]Benjelloun said: "Five games, no win. So it was very important to get three points, to stick to Dundee United and go away from Motherwell.[LNB]"We had a bad time in the last five games.[LNB]"It's good for us to come back and fight.[LNB]"I think the season starts for us from today.[LNB]"Before the game, everybody said if we want to play in Europe, we have to start from today."[LNB][LNB] Scottish Premier League.
