Garry O'Connor has committed his future to Hibernian by signing a new contract that will keep him at Easter Road until 2008.
The striker has been in fine form this season and manager Tony Mowbray was keen to tie him to the club for the long term, despite O'Connor's current deal still having 18 months left on it.
The 21-year-old's agent Gary Mackay said: "Garry is delighted to have signed a new contract at Hibs as he is enjoying his football and is hoping the next few years will prove fruitful."
O'Connor has scored 28 goals in 95 SPL appearances since breaking into Hibs' first team in 2001.
