Hibernian midfielder Ian Murray is delighted to be back in the thick of things, having returned to Easter Road for a second spell with the Edinburgh club.

The 26-year-old endured tough spells with both Rangers and Norwich City, but is back at Hibs and has put his injury problems behind him to feature eight times since his return to the SPL.

Murray told the club's official website: "It the first time I have had a run of games in a while and I am just glad to be back playing football.

"It's not been too tough for me mentally to be honest because I was not out of the picture for too long down south.

"I wanted to go away and they were happy to let me go in the end.

"I had to keep myself fit, especially for the January transfer window, which was what I tried to do and hope to get away - luckily I did."
