Hibernian manager John Collins has continued his major rebuilding work at Easter Road by snapping up the former Millwall midfielder Filipe Morais on a two-year contract.
The 21-year-old ex-Chelsea trainee made 16 first-team appearances for the Lions before being released at the end of last season.
He also spent three months on loan at St Johnstone last term, featuring in 16 games for the Perth-based side.
Collins told Hibs' official website: "I've been aware of Filipe for some time now.
"He came very highly recommended by contacts at Chelsea and I saw him for myself last season when he was on loan to St Johnstone both before the CIS Cup match and in that game itself.
"He's very strong but comfortable on the ball. I'd say he's exactly the type of player we're looking for at Hibernian and we're delighted that he's agreed to join us."
