Mixu hails Murray return

Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has saluted former team-mate Ian Murray after the midfielder has made an impressive impact since returning to Easter Road in January.

Paatelainen signed Murray from Norwich City last month and has been an ever present in the Hibs starting line-up ever since.

The Hibs boss told the club's official website: "Ian is a full-hearted defender, his defensive qualities are fantastic.

"It is horrible to play against him because you only need to be within a yard and you get a knock, it's guaranteed.

"He is not a dirty player but he is so full-hearted and wants to win that ball, do everything for his team and his team-mates, he is a great player to have in your ranks."

Paatelainen also revealed that Hibs have let striker Damon Gray out on a short-term loan to Partick Thistle.

He added: "It will be an opportunity for him to gain some more experience in what is a very tough league. I expect he will score a few goals there".
