Miller future up for discussion

Liam Miller has opened negotiations over a contract extension at Hibernian, but the midfielder admits the challenge of the Barclays Premier League remains a temptation.

The 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international is out of contract at the end of the campaign, along with 15 other members of the Hibs squad, but says talks have begun for him to remain in Edinburgh.

"I'd like to stay," said Miller, who will be free to speak to interested parties from January.

"I suppose things will happen soon enough. We'll see what happens and hopefully something will get sorted soon."

Although he would like to stay at Hibs, he would be tempted by the lure of top-flight English football.

He added: "I would like to play in the Premier League again, I'd definitely like to play back down in England, but whether that happens or not is another thing.

"I'm just concentrating on my football here."
