Former West Germany forward Pierre Littbarski has confirmed he is keen to succeed Tony Mowbray as manager of Hibernian.
The 46-year-old, who was part of his country's 1990 World Cup winning team, is currently without a club after leaving Australian champions Sydney FC in the summer.
Littbarski first expressed an interest in managing in Scotland after being linked with the Hearts job in April, but the Jambos eventually opted to appoint Valdas Ivanauskas.
The ex-Yokohama and Duisburg coach told Record PM: "I had contact from Scotland last year and the situation is the same for me.
"I am looking to continue my coaching career with a club in Europe and I am interested in Hibs.
"Coaching in Scotland appeals to me because I know the Scottish league and I know the standards."
