Killie star issues Hibs warning

Manuel Pascali wants Hibernian fans to experience a familiar sinking feeling when Kilmarnock visit Easter Road on Saturday on Clydesdale Bank Premier League business. The Leith club are in the hunt for a new boss after the departure of John Hughes with Under-19 coach Alistair Stevenson and first-team coach Gareth Evans installed as the interim management team looking to give the Hibs faithful their first home win since they beat Killie in March. Rugby Park midfielder Pascali, 29, who might be drafted back in to defence in the absence of suspended Frazer Wright, is hoping to pile the pressure on the Hibs players. "We know it will be hard for us because the Hibs players will want to show that they are better than their position says," the former Parma player told Press Association Sport. "Every time you change the manager the players want to show everybody that they are good enough to play in the starting 11, so everyone will be ready. "The new manager might be in the stands, I don't know, but everyone will be up for it and trying to do their best. But it is seven months since they have won at home so the way we start the match is crucial. If we score first then the Hibs fans might say, 'Here we go again.' "We know that they are a really good team but we go there confident. We have to be ready and we are ready to compete with them and show that we are also there to win."
