Jones cools exit talk

Hibernian defender Rob Jones has played down talk of a January exit from Easter Road for midfield duo Kevin Thomson and Scott Brown.

The pair have been linked with moves to the Premiership to join Charlton Athletic, but Jones is cool on such talk.

He said: "There are players in this squad that could quite easily play in the Premiership. I think everybody realises that.

"The way we're playing at the moment, we'd like everyone to stay as long as possible, but that's not football - it changes from day to day.

"Every club has to keep their best players and those two are two of the best here.

"We'd be extremely disappointed if they did go and they'd be sorely missed, but January is a long way away and we'll just have to wait and see."
