Jones all-clear after injury

Hibernian captain Rob Jones is confident of being fit for next weekend's clash with Dundee United, after suffering a head injury during the 4-2 win over Gretna.

Jones had to be replaced shortly before half-time at Easter Road after sustaining a cut left eye, but says he is fit and raring to go once again.

He told the Edinburgh Evening News: "I'm fine now. I trained on Monday and I'll train for the rest of the week and be okay for Dundee United.

"I had to get four stitches in the cut and it was quite a deep one, so it took a while for the doctor to get it done.

"When I came back on I could see in front of me, although it was blurred, but I couldn't see out either side and I had no option but to come off.

"I had a bit of a headache on Saturday night, but the problem with my vision went about an hour after the game and I'm okay now."
