Hughes remains in Barr hunt

Hibernian manager John Hughes remains hopeful of persuading defender Darren Barr to head to Easter Road, if he opts to leave Falkirk.

The 24-year-old is also a target for Hearts and Dundee, but Hughes is still hunting his former Bairns charge.

He told BBC Scotland: "It's never dead. We put something to him and he felt that he wanted to see what else was out there, as he is quite entitled to.

"We are also entitled to keep an eye on whatever is out there.

"If he doesn't come here or he goes elsewhere, or even stays at Falkirk, I will wish him all the best because he is a right good lad."
