Hughes happy with fourth

Hibernian manager John Hughes was pleased to see his side secure fourth place in the SPL and Europa League football next season with a 2-0 win at Dundee United.

A Colin Nish double did the trick for Hibs at Tannadice, as Hughes' men ensured that they finished above Motherwell.

He said after the game: "It has been a fantastic season and I think the boys have deserved fourth spot.

"We have played some great stuff throughout the season and we have always had goals in our team.

"I'm delighted for the boys and the staff for all their hard work and the supporters, who have something to look forward to next year.

"It will give everyone a buzz when they are on their holidays."
