Hughes hails Hibs strike options

Boyd and Miller will arrive at Easter Road on Sunday in their best run of form of the season, Boyd having netted five goals in the last four matches and Miller four in two.[LNB]Hibs' Anthony Stokes boasts a similarly impressive return, scoring five times in his last three outings.[LNB]Fellow forwards Derek Riordan, Colin Nish and Abdessalam Benjelloun are going through something of a dry spell, but asked if he would exchange any of them for the Rangers duo, Hughes said: "No. Why? Because I love working with these players.[LNB]"But I wouldn't mind a Boydy or a Miller at my club as well, that's for sure."[LNB]Hughes, a former Easter Road team-mate of Miller, added: "I played with Kenny here and I've really got a lot of time for Kenny.[LNB]"When he starts scoring goals, he gets on a streak. We admire that, respect that, but it's a challenge we have to be ready for.[LNB]"Big Boydy just scores goals. No matter what you do or what you say about him, he scores goals, all kinds of goals; left foot, right foot, tap-ins, penalties.[LNB]"We just have to make sure that we recognise that and we're up to the challenge.[LNB]"But I'm quite sure big Davie Weir and (Madjid) Bougherra will be challenged as well through Stokesy, Nishy, Benji, (Merouane) Zemmama and Derek."[LNB]Hibs and Rangers are the two form teams in the SPL at present, with Hughes' men on a 12-match unbeaten run and their opponents having scored 15 goals in four straight wins.[LNB]"Lo and behold, we come to play the Scottish champions on Sunday and they've just hit top form in the last two or three games," said Hughes, who watched Rangers' 3-0 win at Dundee United last Tuesday night.[LNB]"To go to Tannadice and do what they did really impressed. To go and beat Motherwell 6-1 at home, fantastic.[LNB]"I'll be asking questions of my Hibs team and I'll be getting answers.[LNB]"And if they come up trumps then I'll go, 'Very good boys, well done'.[LNB]"But if they don't then I'll have to go and do something about it, simple as that."[LNB]Hughes, whose side are five points behind Rangers in third place, added: "We're a little bit in front of ourselves, I'm honest enough to say that.[LNB]"But you'll take it, I'm not going to dampen it, and it takes us into a great game on Sunday against the Scottish champions and the league leaders.[LNB]"They'll be favourites, rightly so. But they'll know coming to Easter Road that they'll be in a game.[LNB]"So we're going have to make sure that we apply ourselves properly and make sure we take the game to Rangers."[LNB]Hibs look set to be without Kevin McBride on Sunday, with the midfielder due to see a specialist about his niggling ankle injury.[LNB]Hughes said: "He's got a bit of floating bone that every time he runs, it just gets lodged in the joint and it just locks him a wee bit.[LNB]"Hopefully the specialist will give him the okay. If he is okay and he was to train, I could be prepared to put him on my bench, because he's a fit boy."[LNB]Goalkeeper Graham Stack needs to train without aggravating his back injury to be considered for a recall, though Hughes admits dropping Yves Ma-Kalambay would not be fair after his performance at Aberdeen last weekend.[LNB][LNB]
