The former Hibs captain declared he would be surprised if Celtic and Rangers were not 20-25 points ahead of the third-placed team at the end of the Premier League season.[LNB]Hibs had been level with Rangers before dropping points after Saturday's 1-1 at Kilmarnock, but Hughes has no problem with Thomson's comments.[LNB]"To be honest, when I heard what he said, I thought 'good on you' because it shows you that he has got self-belief, and it tells you how much he trusts in his team-mates," Hughes told the Edinburgh Evening News.[LNB]"Kevin is a great guy, he is a friend and fantastic footballer. If that is his belief, then there's nothing wrong with that.[LNB]"It just shows how strong a mentality he has and to be honest with you, that kind of attitude is what wins you things in football."[LNB][LNB] Hibernian 13/8, Aberdeen 17/10, Draw 9/4
