Hughes disappointed by Hibs boo boys

Manager John Hughes maintained a home victory is close after Hibernian's winless run at Easter Road was extended to nine matches by the 1-1 Clydesdale Bank Premier League draw with Hamilton. Derek Riordan netted a ninth-minute opener, hit the crossbar with a free-kick soon afterwards and Colin Nish had a second-half effort ruled out for offside as Hibs were again left frustrated and booed off by their own supporters for the second successive week. Hughes was satisfied with the display, but rued another home game going by without collecting three points. "It goes with the territory, but it's still disappointing when they boo," said Hughes, whose side last won at home on March 6. "I can understand it, but did they deserve to get booed? Results wise, possibly; effort wise, certainly not. "You need to rise above it and the only way to turn it around is by starting to play winning football. We're not too far away - it will definitely come."
