Hogg upset with dropped points

The Edinburgh side led Kilmarnock after Derek Riordan scored on the stroke of half-time, but the home side hit back when Jamie Hamill capitalised on a mistake by young Paul Hanlon.[LNB]However, Hogg insisted collective responsibility must be taken for letting more points slip away.[LNB]He said: "I'm disappointed that we only managed a draw after being in front, we lost a poor goal.[LNB]"It's too easy to break down any goal and start blaming individuals. It's a team game and we have to take that one on the chin.[LNB]"Now is not the time for blaming individuals, we need to knit together and stop conceding goals.[LNB]"We played quite well in the first half and looked quite dangerous at times.[LNB]"But to be fair to Kilmarnock they played well and pinned us back at times. We withstood that quite well - up until the goal - I'm a bit down to be honest at the moment."[LNB]Hibs could have ended up with nothing had it not been for Hogg's heroics.[LNB]Earlier in the afternoon, with the match goalless, Hogg saved his team when he denied Killie striker Conor Sammon when goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski was beaten.[LNB]The on-loan Killie striker looked certain to score after good play by Craig Bryson, but Hogg had other ideas and turned his effort over the crossbar to safety.[LNB]"I'm happy with how I'm playing, getting games under my belt but I want to strive to get better as an individual and it's something I want to do in the weeks and months ahead."[LNB]Hibs have yet to beat Kilmarnock this season and have only picked up three away wins all season in the SPL.[LNB]Despite that the 23-year-old Englishman is adamant Hibs can turn their season around and climb the table.[LNB]"We need to start winning games instead of drawing, but there is no point in looking back," Hogg said.[LNB]"The next game (away to Inverness) is a massive one, and hopefully we can go up there and get the three points."[LNB]The Easter Road club remain in sixth spot in the SPL table, seven points behind Dundee United in fourth spot and nine behind city rivals Hearts who sit third.[LNB]But Hogg is refusing to throw in the towel.[LNB]He said: "Europe is not beyond us, definitely not. We can beat most teams in this league but today we could have done with the three points.[LNB]"However there are still plenty of games to go and we will be knuckling down and giving everything to get as many points as we can, starting at Inverness next week."[LNB][LNB]
