Hibernian will be without Merouane Zemmama for the remainder of the season after the midfielder suffered a broken bone in his foot during training.
The 24-year-old Moroccan will play no part in the Edinburgh club's late push for a UEFA Cup spot after breaking the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.
Zemmama has netted six times in 32 appearances for Hibs this season.
"It's a big blow because Merouane has been playing so well, but unfortunately these things happen," said manager Mixu Paatelainen.
"There was no collision or anything like that, Merouane simply turned in training and his foot felt sore.
"It's actually a fairly common injury because the outside of the foot takes a lot of stress."
