Hibs linked with midfielder Tom Taiwo
Former Carlisle player on Fenlon's radar
Hibs have today been linked with a move for free agent Tom Taiwo.
The former Chelsea youngster is a free agent after leaving League One side Carlisle United in the summer, despite the club offering him a new deal, with the player turning it down as he wanted to be closer to his young family in Yorkshire.
Taiwo, 22, has so far failed to find himself a club, although Bradford are said to be interested in securing his services.
Hibs boss Pat Fenlon has other ideas however, and is said to be keen to bring the player to Easter Road as his 9th summer signing.
Taiwo started his career as a youth at Leeds United, before Chelsea lured him to Stamford Brdige in 2007.
Leeds United complained about the deal, which also seen fellow Elland Road youngster Micahel Woods move to the current European Champions, and Leeds were awarded a £5m fee for both players in compensation.
During his time at Chelsea Taiwo was loaned out twice, to Port Vale and the Carlisle United.
He impressed enough at Carlisle that they paid out an undisclosed fee and secured the player on a ywo-and-a-half-year-deal in 2010.
Taiwo went on to make over 100 appearances at Brunton Park.
He has also been capped at U17 level by England.
