Hibs line-up 100,000 McPake bid
On loan defender wanted on permanent deal
Hibs boss Pat Fenlon is keen to trigger a clause in James McPake's loan deal, to sign the defender on a permanent transfer.
The Hibees apparently had a future fee clause of £100,000 entered into the January loan from Coventry City.
McPake has been outstanding since his arrival that has seen him handed the captain's armband at Easter Road.
The 27-year-old has helped steer the club away from relegation, and into this season's Scottish Cup Final against rivals Hearts at Hampden Park on May 19th.
It will be the first all Edinburgh Scottish Cup Final since 1896, and gives the Hibees the chance to end their 110 year hoodoo in the competition, having not won it since 1902.
Coventry City are said to be willing to let McPake go following their relegation from the Championship to League One, as they will need to cut their cloth accordingly.
Hibs boss Fenlon is also said to be keen to keep a few more of the 9 players on loan at Easter Road, with Wolves pair Matt Doherty and Leigh Griffiths top of the list, another two who's parent club have went down and will be looking to cut costs.
