Hibernian manager Mixu Paatelainen is hopeful that defender Kevin McCann may be available for selection in the near future, following a lengthy battle to shrug off a knee problem.
The 21-year-old has not played at all this season due to tendonitis, but Paatelainen hopes that a second injection in the joint may bring an end to McCann's misery.
He told The Scotsman: "It's been a frustrating time for Kevin, these inflammations can be really nasty.
"We'd hoped the initial injection would cure the problem, but they can linger for quite a while and unfortunately that's what happened to Kevin.
"Hopefully this second jab will have killed it and he should now be okay and ready to start training again in a couple of weeks."
