Hibs defender Paul Hanlon fit for cup tie
Centre half expected to return for trip to Killie
Hibs are expected to be handed a timely boost as they gear up to face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup Quarter Final at the weekend, with the news that defender Paul Hanlon is expected to return to fitness.
The Scotland U21 captain missed the dress rehersal of the tie, last night's 2-2 draw with the Ayrshire side at Easter Road.
Now Hibs boss Pat Fenlon has revealed that Hanlon should be fit for the cup clash at Rugby Park.
“Paul has been carrying a bit of a hip injury. He got a bang, I think away to Aberdeen in the league, and he has a bit of heavy bruising around the hip area. He did a bit of light training on Tuesday and again yesterday but I didn’t want to risk another bang on it at this stage which could have put him out for a while.
“Fingers crossed he should be all right for the weekend.”
Hanlon is now a regular in the Hibs side, having made his debut in 2008, and has now made close to 150 appearances for the Hibees.
