Hibernian have won the race to sign York City's highly-rated striker Clayton Donaldson.
The 22-year-old has scored 38 goals in 75 appearances for the Conference side since moving to the Minstermen 18 months ago.
A brief statement on the Edinburgh side's official website read: "The club have today confirmed that York City striker, Clayton Donaldson, has signed a pre-contract to join Hibernian at the start of next season.
"The player is out of contract with York City at the end of the season and, as he will be 23 years of age next month, he will join the club without the requirement to pay a fee."
