Hibs: Jones not for sale

Hibernian boss John Collins has told Leeds United that Easter Road skipper Rob Jones is not for sale.

The 27-year-old centre-half still has three years left on his Hibs contract, but has hinted that he wants to return to England.

However, Collins told the Edinburgh Evening News: "I don't want to sell him and he is under contract. If someone wants to buy him they will just have to wait.

"I am not going to deny that there has been interest in him, but he is too important to the team to let him go.

"We have to think about our own team and the way that we want to play."

Jones moved to Easter Road at the start of last season from Grimsby Town and has scored nine goals in 52 appearances for the SPL outfit.
