Hibs undone by Miller time

Kenny Miller's scoring streak continued as he claimed a hat-trick to hand 10-man Rangers victory over Hibernian in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. The striker pounced three times in the second half to secure the points and add to the goal he netted in last week's opening-day win over Kilmarnock. Both teams had a man sent off just before half-time when Kyle Lafferty and Kevin McBride were both shown straight red cards for violent conduct, although Walter Smith's men looked sharper after the break despite the reduction in personnel. Miller struck first after 64 minutes, rifling high into the net after James Beattie played him in following a deflected hit from Sasa Papac. Vladimir Weiss, on as a sub, then carved Hibs open to set up a 70th-minute second for Miller, who duly completed his treble in stoppage time when he got on the end of a Steve Davis pass and powered home.
