Young Hibees go top

Hibs U20 side kept up their incredible recent form last night, with an impressive win over their Ross County counterparts.

The young Hibees, who again included some first team players looking to get some game time, ran out easy 5-0 winners.

Sean Murdoch, Tom Taiwo, Sam Stanton, Michael Nelson and Ross Caldwell all played at the Energy Assets Arena in Livingston.

Stanton gave the Hibees the lead, before defender Jason Gardiner (signed from Spurs in the summer) scored two in quick succession.

Goal machine Jason Cummings added number four, before Stanton added his second and the Hibees fifth.

The Hibs U20's now move top of the league.

Bad news from last night, is that Jason Cummings is said to have picked up an ankle injury.

Hibs team:

Murdoch, Black, Baptie, Taiwo, Gardiner, Nelson, Smith (Hendry 82), Stanton, Cummings, Caldwell, Todd (Beaton 82). Unused subs: Perntreou, Dunsmore, Wilson, Martyniuk, Sinclair.
