Stopper arrives at Easter Road Hibs boss Colin Calderwood has today completed his third signing of the summer. The 6ft 3in MK Dons defender Sean O’Hanlon has followed Ivan Sproule and Garry O’Connor through the door at Easter Road. 28-year-old O’Hanlon has signed a two-year-deal with the club, following his release from the English club. O’Hanlon couldn’t agree a deal with MK Dons, and left after playing over 140 times for the Dons. He previously spent time at Everton without playing a first team game, before moving to Swindon. Over two spells, with the first a loan deal; he played over 90 games for Swindon. O’Hanlon was delighted with his move to Easter Road, speaking to the official Hibernian website, he said: “I'm really pleased to be joining Hibernian and I'm looking forward to the challenge of trying to win some silverware,” the player told Hibs’ official website. "Basically I want to help Hibernian challenge for cups, get into Europe and to compete well in the league. "Colin Calderwood says he has been chasing me for a few years, so it is great to be able to sign for a manager that has shown such a lot of interest in me. "I'm very fortunate this opportunity came about; Hibernian are one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and it is a fantastic set-up. “The training ground is better than the one Everton had when I was there - it is the best training facility I've experienced as a professional. "As an experienced player, anything I can give to the younger lads I'm going to do and I still want to improve - I want to lead from the front on match days."
