Hibs have tonight confirmed that Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern has joined the club on loan.
The 22-year-old has signed for the club until January and can play left back or in the centre of defence.
McGivern has been capped 16 times by Northern Ireland, and has quite a bit of experience due to a number of loan deals in the Championship with Leicester City, Bristol City and Crystal Palace.
Hibs didn't manage to beat the 5pm signing deadline for the player to be involved against Celtic at Parkhead tommorow.
Speaking to the official website McGivern said:
"I'm just really excited about playing for Hibernian and helping the team to do well in the SPL.
"Hibs have enjoyed a decent start to the SPL season so far; I'm looking forward to be able to help to build on that start."
