The former Republic of Ireland under-21 player was a free agent after leaving Falkirk, and he will be unveiled at a press conference next week. Hughes said: "Patrick loves getting on the ball and has loads of energy, he's just the sort of player I want at the club. "He has his best years in front of him and will thrive on the big stage at Easter Road." Cregg, 23, who also made three substitute appearances for Arsenal in the League Cup as a youngster, added: "I loved working with the gaffer at Falkirk, so to be joining him at a club the size of Hibernian is a great opportunity for me. "I'm very excited about pre-season and can't wait to start work at the training centre this week with the rest of the boys."
