Hibs lodge appeal

Hibernian have lodged an appeal against Liam Miller`s dismissal during their weekend defeat by Kilmarnock. Miller was shown a straight red card for kicking the heels of Conor Sammon as the Killie striker ran into the penalty box. Referee Craig Thomson deemed his offence violent conduct, which surprised Hibs manager Colin Calderwood. The Scottish Football Association`s disciplinary department are hoping to process the appeal. A panel will decide Miller`s fate if Thomson decides he might have been too harsh.
