Hibs defender David Stephens called up to Wales U21 squad
Young defender to face Malta Hibs new boy David Stephens has been called up to the Wales U21 squad. The Welsh play Malta in Valletta on Tuesday August 10th, in an U21 European Championship qualifier. The 6ft 4in 19-year-old signed for the Hibees from Championship side Norwich City this summer for an undisclosed fee. Stephens didn't travel as the Hibees faced Premiership new boys Blackpool at Bloomfield Road today, winning 2-1. He previously spent time on loan at Lincoln City.
