Hibs' Darren McCormack vows to clean up his act

Defender on a mission to rid himself of his "bad boy" image Hibs defender Darren McCormack has revealed that he is on a mission to shed himself of his “bad boy” image. McCormack, 21, has been in the news lately for a couple of incidents he would rather forget. The former Scotland U21 captain was fined £1,000 pound last April, after he punched Hearts striker Calum Elliot in a nightclub, breaking his jaw in the process. Just last month McCormack was also caught drink driving his girlfriend’s car, as well as driving without a license, whilst also not insured to be in charge of the vehicle. However, McCormack has now vowed to clean up his act, he said: "If you do something as a football player the spotlight is on you and it's headline news. It wouldn't be if it was any other young guy. "You learn from mistakes and I've learned the hard way. I've kept to myself, had my head down and trained away. "I need to show that I can be responsible. I don't go out any more. It's just me, my girlfriend and my dog." Tell us what you think of this news on the Hibernian-Mad message board, at the link below.   http://www.hibernian-mad.co.uk/mboard/loadboard.asp
