Boost for Ross County visit

Hibs were handed a boost today as they look forward to Saturday's trip to Dingwall to face Ross County.

It has been revealed that captain James McPake returned to training yesterday following an achilles tendon injury that forced him to pull out of Northern Ireland's squad for the trip to Oporto to face Portugal - the match ending in a superb 1-1 draw for the Irish.

The 28-year-old Bellshill born defender is expected to now be fit to take his usual spot in the centre of the Hibees defence this weekend.

Hibs currently sit 2nd in the SPL, and will be looking for another 3 points as they visit the highlands, in what should be a tough test from the SPL new-boys.

McPake joined the Hi-Bees from relegated Championship side Coventry City in the summer for a nominal fee.
