Hibs boss loves transfer window

Hughes took over at Easter Road earlier in the month from fellow SPL club Falkirk and is keen to delve into the transfer market as soon as possible. With funds at a premium the former Hibs player will have to search for bargain buys or loan signings with one new arrival already set to join the club. Patrick Cregg is expected to become Hughes' first summer signing. The out-of-contract midfielder worked under the 44-year-old at Falkirk after being snapped up by the ex-Bairns chief from Arsenal in 2006. "I love working the market and the loan system as I did at Falkirk," he told the Daily Record. "We had a lot of success bringing in the likes of Anthony Stokes and Kasper Schmeichel."
