Suspended Lewis Stevenson missing for Hibs

Hibs will be without the suspended Lewis Stevenson for the Ladbrokes Championship clash with Dundee United along with the injured Liam Fontaine (calf) and Danny Handling (knee).

Manager Neil Lennon has bolstered his squad with the addition of Welsh internationalist Neil Eardley and the defender could be involved against the Tannadice side.

Lennon said: "We had plenty of the ball at Queen of the South last weekend but we never got the win as we did not make the most of it.

"We have to make opposing goalkeepers work harder starting off against a Dundee United side that are adapting to life in the Championship and will be confident after beating Morton last weekend."

Dundee United manager Ray McKinnon has delayed naming his side as he is hopeful that goalkeeper Cammy Bell as well as Stewart Murdoch, Willo Flood and Charlie Telfer all come through fitness tests.

McKinnon said: "This is the biggest away game in the Championship for us and I would like to have a full squad to choose from. We are going into it in good spirit after defeating Morton which was a great way to bounce back from losing to them in the Betfred Cup just a few days before.

"Hibs lost their last home game against Ayr and will be out to make up for that."
